Can you feel it coming? I certainly can. It’s the arrival of fall, y’all! Or autumn. Or whatever you call the season of changing leaves and cooler weather. Be ready for the season of the Pumpkin Spice Latte with this super cute, and oh so easy DIY fall decor for the mantel.

Check out this easy and simple rustic fall mantel decorating idea

Sure, this mantel decor may look a little difficult and complicated, but it’s really not. Just a few focal decor pieces and a little bit of seasonal changes, and you’ve got yourself a mantel that’s totally on point and has a little of that French Country vibe! The best part is that most of these items came from Amazon and Target, so they’re totally affordable, and easy to get. HECK YEAH!

Rustic DIY Fall Decor for the Mantel

Distressed Cherrywood Mantel – First off, you may need a new mantel.  This chunk of gorgeous distressed cherrywood mantel is what we used for this piece.

Lavender Wreath – How amazing is lavender?  It has a naturally calming effect, and is oh so pretty. The wreath shown has since sold out, but this dried lavender wreath is a great replacement option that will look ahhh–mazing year round.

Weathered Wood Window – The distressed look is so on trend, and is a great look for fall. This weathered wood window is the perfect backdrop to your rustic fall mantel. This whitewashed vintage mirror would be gorgeous, too.

Faux Cattail Plant – One of the hallmarks of fall is straw, dried corn, and the like.  Cattails have a similar look and feel, without the dryness. Plus this faux cattail plant adds a bit of freshness and color to your DIY fall decor. This is another option that looks fabulous. Pace it on the floor nest to the mantle for a gorgeous accent.

Ivory Decorative Resin Pumpkin (x3) – Nothing says fall like pumpkins. I mean, hello!!  We’re living for Pumpkin Spice Lattes after all. These ivory resin pumpkins are the perfect accent to your mantel, and the grouping of three is so chic.  It’s a total designer trick that we’re sharing with you.  Shhhh…. These are different than the original pumpkins pictured, and you could totally get away with the one set of them.

In kind of digging this mercury glass pumpkin, too. It’s a great way to add a little sparkle.

Mini Pumpkins and Gourds – Add a traditional touch of the fall with these cute little mini pumpkins and gourds. Pair them with the Ivory pumpkins from above for your DIY fall decor.

Orange Pillar Candle – Who doesn’t love a candle? Candles are another one of those designer tricks to give your space that finishing touch. The orange pillar candle just helps tie everything together.

Bronze Arrow Candleholder – I love love love this candleholder. It’s giving me all the heart eyes. Get a couple of these bronze arrow candleholders and use them year round.  How cute would they be for Valentine’s Day?

Brown Burlap with Orange Chevron Bow – This is the finishing touch for this rustic fall mantel. Chevron is still so popular, and burlap continues to have its moment, too. Combine them in this bow and it’s like magic. This is another bow that would be great.

See how easy this was to create your own rustic DIY fall decor?
