One of the great things about being an adult is decorating your home. You don’t have your parent telling you that you can’t tape stuff to the wall, or no pushpins because they’ll leave holes. You truly get to do what you want. The worst […]

I’m one of those people that’s always chosen to do something small for New Year’s Eve. When I was a kid, my mom would have all the other kids over while their parents went out. As I got older, I still enjoyed those types of […]
I love the Christmas spirit. Each year, I convince myself that I’m going to decorate the whole house. Somehow, though, each year, time seems to slip away from me. One easy way to decorate in a jiffy, and on a budget, is with free Christmas printables.
My personal aesthetic is a little more retro-vintage chic, and I adore what I call the “new modern” or retro Christmas colors. These are slightly whimsical shades of lime green, magenta, aqua, and some gold. This Be in Good Cheer Christmas printable, with these shades and the slightly whimsical-retro trees, is a perfect piece to fit into my decorating theme.
Special thanks to Mockmill for sponsoring this rice flour scrub post. Read on to see how you can get an awesome deal on one. One of the most important steps in skincare is proper exfoliation. Too little exfoliation and your skin looks dull, dead, and […]
I have always had a thing for yarn, ever since I can remember. I’m sure it doesn’t hurt that the crafty and creative genes run deep along both sides of my family tree. These little fluffy sheep ornaments are a project that we made when […]
I don’t have a clock in my office. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. Oh sure, I have a clock on my computer, or on my phone. But an actual clock that I can see what time it is when I’m working on something? Nope. I decided it was time to change that with this cute DIY flower wall clock.
Yeah, I could have just bought any old clock. Or even a kitschy cool clock that would be awe-some in my office. I could have even put the base clocks up as-is, all plain like. HA! No I couldn’t have. Even I know that would never work.
Stacks of bracelets, chunky bracelets, and wrap bracelets are so hot right now. This is a gorgeous bracelet that looks a lot more difficult than it is, not to mention a lot more expensive. Even if you don’t consider yourself crafty or creative you can […]
Faux finishing has been around for a really long time now. For some reason, I’ve never ever been able to figure it out. I’ve always been one of those people that’s like “Uh, it only looks easy. There‘s gotta be a trick to it that these experts just aren’t sharing.”
When Giani reached out and asked if I wanted to take their faux marble finish kit for a test drive, I was totally like “sure!” Their kits are designed to redo the counters in your house. However, I rent, and well, I would like to get my security deposit back.
I decided I was going to use the kit on a table or another piece of furniture and set off on an expedition. After looking for about a month, and not finding anything that really fit or was in my price range, I decided to go for the next best thing. I chose a couple of accessories to add a faux marble finish – a cigar box and a picture frame.
You’ve seen those buntings, haven’t you? They go by various names – like swags or banners. Pennants, too. Well…here’s how to make a Halloween Bunting. I’ve even created the Halloween Bunting printable. Yee haw!! You only need a few types of craft supplies and most […]
