I’m a Skee Ball Addict!

I am a skee ball addict

One of my guilty pleasures is skee ball.  I suppose I shouldn’t say it’s a guilty pleasure,.  Let’s face it – skee ball is all kinds of awesome!  However, where are the places that you can go play skee ball?  Usually kids’ pizza joints, right?   And how bizarre is it to go to one of those places without children?

My addiction to the game was fueled by my mother.  She introduced me to the sweet sweet science of rolling balls up the ramp when I was a wee lass of 5 or 6.  We would always go to the arcade on Friday or Saturday nights.  Generally after a trip to the movies.

If you show up to a place like one of those pizza places with no kids, people look at you like you’re a creepazoid!  I usually end up borrowing a kid or two from friends or co-workers in order to get my skee ball fix.  Of course, they think you’re insane as well.  “Let me get this straight.  You wanna take my kids to a pizza and games place.  Willingly?  What‘s the catch?”  How do you explain that it’s just for the opportunity to play skee ball.  Sigh…the things we do to feed our addictions.

Speaking of addictions – Have you seen the new season of Children's Hospital?  It just started last week.  If you're as big of a fan of the show as I am, you can get Children's Hospital Season 2 and season 3 on DVD, as well.
