I used zero wrapping paper this Christmas – we've been recycling fabric gift bags, baskets and sturdy boxes for several years now.  If you're giving some kitchen items, for instance, you can wrap them in a new kitchen towel or a bath set can be made into a simple origami design.

recycle everything you can. Cardboard, all plastics and metal, newspapers and magazines..and rinse out the cans/cartons before you throw them in the bin, it's the polite thing to do! 😉  I agree about steam mops, they are amazing. And re-using gift bags, we do that as well. But all of this has been said! Hmm. Make sure to use re-usable cloths for cleaning rather than paper towels!

When we go hiking, we always bring a small trash bag with us.   People don't mind taking things in with them, but they don't always pack it out.  We always end up bringing out a bag full of stuff that doesn't belong along the trail.
