I’ve always been a mineral makeup kind of girl. Well, I’ve been a mineral makeup girl ever since the first time I tried that one really big brand that you always see on TV. In the past few years, there have been lots of new mineral makeup lines appearing in the marketplace.

I was unfamiliar with the Mia Mariu line of cosmetics. The Mia Mariu line consists of mineral makeup basics like powder foundation, loose mineral shadows, and finishing powders and bronzers.  Among their less than conventional offerings are cream foundations and concealers, lip and eye liner pencils, lip glosses, and pressed blushes.

Mia Mariu also takes an inside and outside approach to beauty. Not only do they have cosmetics, but they also have supplements that are geared towards helping you get the nutrients your body needs.  Not only that, but Mia Mariu also has a line of botanical based skin care products.   Let’s face it – without good skin, all the makeup in the world doesn’t do you any favors!

I got my hair cut this week into a sassy new style. Now, it’s time to update my makeup.

Mia Mariu was generous enough to send me two of their fantastic Loose Mineral Liner Shadows, one in Caramelo and one in Mora. Caramelo is a great neutral taupe-brown shade. Mora is an absolutely gorgeous dusty purple color. These two shades together combine for a great smoky eye. I have really sensitive eyes and didn’t have any eye irritation with the Mia Mariu products.

Beso, Mora, and Caramelo from left to right, or top to bottom.

I also received one of their Hydrating Stick Glosses in Beso. The Hydrating Stick Gloss is a sheer lip color, like a non-sticky lip gloss, but is in a lipstick form. Beso is a pale pink shade. It gives just a hint of color and is gorgeous for everyday wear. Even if you’re *GASP* not wearing any other makeup.

Finally, Mia Mariu sent along one of their makeup brushes – a multipurpose eye shadow base & contour brush to be exact.  Anyone that has ever used mineral makeup knows that brushes can make all the difference in your makeup application. Mia Mariu’s brushes really help with the application. I found that the brush picked up a nice amount of eye shadow, but not too much. The brush also released the makeup without it falling all over my face.

I am definitely going to have to add Mia Mariu cosmetics into my routine.  You can purchase online or through a local independent representative.

We are quickly entering cold weather, and the Beso shade looks like just the thing for daily wear.  While I don't explicitly tan during the summer, my winter coloring is much fairer and this shade would work well.

I HAVE BEEN SEEING A LOT OF MINERAL MAKE UP ON THE MARKET AS WELL BUT I HAVE NOT TRIED ANY YET, I AM A LITTLE CONCERNED BECAUSE I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN. I WILL TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THAT YOU HAVE SENSETIVE EYES BUT MIA DID NOT BOTHER YOU-THANKS FOR THE REVIEW!
