I love to see animals when I'm out and about.  Here are a few deer I ran into this week, in the most unexpected places.

This doe was just hanging out in a subdivision, like two lots down from where they were building houses.  Eating in the middle of the day.  She looked like she had just gotten rid of her babies.

Then these two deer fawns were frolicking in someone's front yard, about 10 feet from a main road in town.  I saw them on my way home from work and had to go back by!

Comments

  1. That's so cool. I miss that about not living in New Zealand. In some parts we used to have to stop on the road for sheep crossing

  2. We live in the country and I never get over the excitement of seeing deer!

  3. I love seeing deer in the open. I live in a small country town so we get to see them quite often.

  4. Ah, I haven't seen deer in a couple of years, ever since we moved!  I love seeing them, but definitely got scared of hitting one!
