I moved about a year ago. When I moved in, they told me that the carpets had been freshly shampoo . I had no reason not to believe that, as they looked pretty clean. After living here a month or two, I wasn’t so sure about the carpets! I’d wander around in just my socks and they’d end up black.
Get your mind out of the gutter. I had clothes on, just no shoes. Sheesh.
Back to the socks. Maybe it was from the insides of my shoes or my nasty feet (they’re not!) were coming through the socks. Any way you cut it, it was unacceptable!
Enter Stanley Steemer. A couple of weeks ago, I popped into the local location, as it’s on my way home from work. After going in and surprising them – I guess they don’t get tons of walk-in business! – I decided to schedule a carpet cleaning.
Stanley Steemer dispatched a team to my house the next Friday. The guys that came out were polite and friendly. They proceeded to move my furniture and they didn’t break anything (YAY!!!) I know that sounds like an odd thing to say, but I could tell you horror stories of movers breaking my furniture. Anyway, after the furniture had been moved, the guys got right to work.
While I don’t have any real stains on my carpet, they just needed a general cleaning. While the crew was there, they asked me about my allergies. I have raging allergies that are miserable. The guys mentioned that after cleaning my carpets that my allergies would ease up. I must have looked a little confused, as they explained that the carpet was catching the allergens like pollen, mold, dust, and pet dander.
Corine from Complicated Mama made an awesome video about her Stanley Steemer experience! I’m really happy to say that my experience was basically the same. How awesome is that? Two different locations, halfway across the country, same great experience. That’s such an unusual thing any more.
Ever since having my carpets cleaned, I’ve noticed a real difference. Less sneezing. Less itchy eyes. And much cleaner socks.
